Chateau Leane-A B&B With Attitude: House Guests #2&3
We met Malora and Charlie this past Sunday at Mark and Inna's, one of many stops on their whirlwind tour of Chicago and Oklahoma. :) We enjoyed some time with the tired parents and their adorable baby. Even Malora says the Daniel is cute and she doesn't say that about just any baby. :) He was more alert than when we saw him last and Inna was happy to let us all take our turn at holding him. He has lovely dark hair, blue eyes, and unfortunate aim which resulted in some self wetting. :) Mark's mom and fiance-in-law were also visiting, so we had a nice chat over Domino's pizza and some fine wine. :)
After our visit, we whisked Malora and Charlie back to the chateau. I took the day off on Monday and William came home early from work seeing as he was flying out the next day. We prepared a grand feast for our guests that consisted of a deceptively unspicy Pozole, Mexican soup, which was followed by a 'light your mouth on fire' spaghetti sauce, a la William. We had some good laughs in between many glasses of water and watching Malora 'Fear Factor' her serving after smothering it in sour cream. I, the brave soul that I am, used no water or cream to tone down my meal; However, I was the last to finish and my exclamations of pain did have William rolling his eyes. It was a meal to remember. :)
The visit passed too quickly amongst more mexican food, trips around Chicago, and foot rubs, standard for all Chateau Leane guests. Our guests would fall asleep well fed and snuggling each other's sweet smelling feet mid-conversation at 10pm.
It's a pity really; they used to be such great conversationalists. :)
